The original plan for the project was to convert the existing 1890 barn, which had been used as a garage and storage space, into a finished upper floor family room. However, during the course of the renovation, it became apparent that some structural repairs were necessary, including replacing the existing foundation wall around the perimeter. Thanks to its proximity to the pool area, the newly renovated barn also doubles as a pool house, offering a striking contrast between the older exterior and the modern, loft-like interior flooded with natural light.
